Gem $2450 Extra 9 in Gown, Gem Original, Cleveland Collection. Final GFRC Sale Offering - The Cleveland Collection is releasing this 1859 F-103 gem Seated Dime that originated from the Fortin core set collection during November 2022. It is an excellent example of a With Stars misplaced date. The bottom loop of the extra 9 digit in the gown was evident in Kam Ahwash's Encyclopedia for 14 years until Fortin discovered its existence during 1991. This is a popular variety that is listed as #46 in the Top 100 Varieties set and also included in the Top 25 Misplaced Date set. Let's get back to the offered example. Crusty coin-gray patina covers both side of this gem along with speckled ebony-gray at the stars and legend. Strike is complete with elevated motifs, especially the reverse wreath leaves. Surfaces are entirely unabraded. Purchased by Fortin during February 2007 from Jason Carter and employed as the F-103 plate coin with The Definitive Resource for Liberty Seated Dime Variety Collectors online reference. Gem $2665 Superb Gem Type 1 Obverse Presentation, Brilliant Reflective Mirrors, Tenafly Collection. Final Consignor Price Reduction! - What a pleasure to be again offering this magnificent 1860 proof strike that originated from the Washington State Collection. 1860 brought 1,000 proof strike with the newly engraved and hubbed Type 1 obverse design per Longacre-Paquet. The design proved to be unpopular due to rapid wear of the high points and a flat overall appearance. When examining this piece, one of the finer extant, the intricate device details become apparent. I promptly noted that Liberty's legs and breasts are quite elevated as compared to the low relief head details. Fields are brilliant reflective and surround frosted motifs. The Cameo eye appeal is thoroughly pleasing. If attempting to build a Liberty Seated dime proof set collection (1856-1891), this example will set the bar for premium quality and warrants a strong bid. CAC has approved 6 at the PR65 grade with eight finer. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder with CAC approval. PCGS #84753.

Clashing is evident beneath DIME. This piece is tied for finest known at CAC with three other pieces. The overall CAC population is 24 pieces, and the CAC price guide is $7,200. Ex. GFRC. WB-4 Gem $45000 Condition Census, Gem Original, Newtown Collection.. Consignor Price Reduction - Production of silver coinage began falling in 1850, as increasing supplies of gold caused an imbalance in the valuation of silver. Congress corrected the problem only with the Coinage Act of 1853, leaving the Mint to coin a decreasing supply of silver bullion in the intervening years. This low-mintage piece exhibits liberal copper and aqua patina, and the overall eye appeal merits the GFRC Gem designation. Ample luster imparts slight reflectivity to the surfaces. WB-3 Choice $31500 Near-Gem Original, Newtown Collection.. Final Consignor Price Reduction! - Along with the 1870-CC and 1878-CC, the 1874-CC is one of the keys to Carson City half dollar set. Few pieces survived from the small mintage of 59,000 pieces and today examples in all grades are highly prized. This piece exhibits even, medium gray toning, with hints of gold, russet, and blue more evident as the coin is tilted under a light. Moderate cartwheel radiates from both sides, a touch more actively on the reverse. WB-3, with a die lump below the curl and a diagonal die line through (STAT)ES. The mintmark is small with close spacing and slopes upward. Well struck with star centers evident and typical softness in the left claws. CAC has approved 47 coins total, a single piece in MS63 (the present coin), two examples at MS64, and a single coin at MS65. PCGS reports three higher pieces in MS64, one coin in MS65 and one example in MS66. The CAC price guide value is $37,400 while PCGS is a tick higher at $37,500. The significance of this offering is hard to overstate, as Carson City pieces are among the most desirable issues in the Seated series. This piece combines the all-important CC mintmark with key date status and a strong technical grade. As if that were not enough, CAC endorses this example as premium for the grade. One can never have enough 1921-D example in inventory, right? Surfaces are toned a natural coin gray. Housed in new large font NGC holder with CAC approval.

Gem $765 Brilliant Frosted Luster, Gem Original.. GFRC Cost Basis! - The 1937-D and 1937-S Walking Liberty dates are equally scarce in Mint State with mintages of 1,676,000 and 2,090,000. Truly original and undipped examples are scarce in full gem based on CAC approval rates. CAC has approved 103 Denver strikes at the MS65 grade. This example screams originality with its brilliant frosted luster and faint copper-gold toning. Bright light exposure releases frosted luster and vibrant cartwheels. Strike is nearly complete with just a touch of definition weakness at the thumb. Surfaces are pristine with some die polished lines seen during 10x review. A classic gem that warranted close scrutiny. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder with CAC approval. PCGS #6602

Choice $375 Dual Sided Toning, Brilliant Frosted Luster, Swirling Cartwheels, Perfectly Original. GFRC Cost Basis! - Since starting the GFRC business, there has always been an affinity for toner Morgans. Over time, I've been hand selecting CAC approved toners with coloration that is consistent with originality expectations. Let's face it, there are ample amounts of retoned Morgans out in the market with what I consider to be unnatural colors. This 1878-S example offers the classic obverse aquamarine, copper-gold, and blues on the obverse and delineated green and copper-gold on the reverse that could have paper origins. Accurately graded with brilliant frosted luster and swirling cartwheels. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder with CAC approval.

Low Mintage San Francisco Date, Golden-Gray Frosted Luster, Swirling Cartwheels, CAC Approval. GFRC Cost Basis! - Faint golden-gray obverse patina is transparent to the underlying steely luster on this lightly circulated 1886-S Morgan. The reserve patina is deeper with the same obverse hues. This color consistency validates the originality. The low 750,000 piece mintage has made this a popular date since the B. Max Mehl auction sales of the early 20th century. This date remains scarce as few were found in the 1982-1964 Treasury bag release. A notable example with much character that is sure to please the new owner and a JUST BUY IT NOW recommendation. Gem $4830 Near Finest Known, Richly Frosted Gem, CAC Approved. 2025 Black Friday Sale Offering - Mintage for the 1888 $2.5 issue increased to 16,001 as compared to the limited five digit production of prior years. Survivors in the lower Mint State grades are readily available with the date become very scarce in full gem. GFRC is pleased to be offering a CAC approved specimen at the lofty MS65 grade with a single example finer. The CAC price guide lists $5,600 as fair market value for reference. This lot is a "luster bomb" with rich honey-gold mint bloom on both sides. Under a bright light, the frosted radiance and cartwheels are thoroughly pleasing. The peripheral strike is hammered with raised stars and elevated reverse legend though the eagle's left leg feathers are weakly defined. Worthy of careful consideration. MPD FS-302 Choice $2450 Misplaced 1 Digit, Cracked Obverse, Steely Frosted Luster, Honey Green-Gold, CAC Approved. FS-302 documents a dramatic misplaced date variety, as an errant 1 digit protruding from the front of Liberty's neck at the junction with the bust. This is a late die state example of the FS-302 attribution with a bold vertical crack from11:30 to the top of the coronet at the letters TY in LIBERTY, then down to the rim at the 4 digit in the date. Choice $5525 Rare Grade, Choice Original, White Pine Collection.. 2025 Black Friday Sale Offering - Pinkish-orange patina fills the rims and protected areas of this low-mintage San Francisco piece, contrasting with the steely gold fields. Survival of 19th century branch Mint coinage is often a matter of chance, and CAC reports only a single Mint State piece, MS62, which the CAC guide prices at a whopping $72,000. This piece remains well-advanced within the CAC condition census, bested by only four pieces in AU58 and the single MS coin. CAC has approved 19 coins total, and the CAC price guide value in AU55 is $6,000. While finest known status confers the all-important bragging rights, we would rather own, for the same money, a dozen coins like this AU55 example, as opposed to a single piece graded only a few points finer. Choice $3100 Rare Uncirculated, Superb Rose-Gold Coloring, Completed Strike, Near-Gem. GFRC Cost Basis! - 1891 Philadelphia $5 gold strikes were limited to 61,360 pieces in an era of massive silver coinage output. Most survivors are found with abrasions and/or light wear. GFRC is pleased to be offering one of the MS64 certified survivors that also has CAC approval. An infrequently seen rose-gold coloring is consistent on both sides.
